Meet Our Pastors

Bishop Howard Matthews and Lady Shirnett Matthews have been married for 34 years and are proud parents of three: Alexandra (25), Alysha (23), and Philip (19). Devoted to Christ since their youth, they’ve served the Church of God of Prophecy in a variety of leadership roles.

Bishop Matthews holds a PhD in Theology and serves as the State Leader for the Prayer Ministry, championing prayer and spiritual discipline to cultivate a vibrant faith community.

Dr. Shirnett Matthews is a Radiation Oncologist at Prisma Health’s Cancer Institute and the State Women’s Director for South Carolina—uniting care, healing, and discipleship to empower women in church and community.
